Bode Miller Wins 2 Silver Medals at 2002 Winter Olympics with Ski Poles Invented, Designed, and Developed by
ClosedMold Composites Founder Ron H. Nelson

      Nelson invented, developed, and designed he Swix "Falcon", "Cobra DHC" and "SGC 1100" Aerodynamic Carbon Fiber Ski Poles and the manufacturing process. He marketed concept to customer, negotiated long term development and licensing contract, performed large majority of all product and process design and development including structural testing including design of tooling and production equipment. Picabo Street won a Gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics on the same poles.
     Nelson also designed the carbon fiber Swix Sports "T" Grip Cross Country Ski Pole Grips and invented a manufacturing process for its production. It was produced in low production quantities in 1992 and was used to win a Gold medal in the 92' Winter Olympics.
